We heard you, so now we're doing it! We're bringing MSDN Sessions to Davao, Philippines. In this month of March, we'll show you the hottest and trending technologies of Microsoft in the Mobility, Cloud and IoT spectrum.
Michael John "Penny" Peña, a Microsoft MVP for Windows Development is here to talk about Developing Cross Platform Applications (Windows, iOS and Android) using Xamarin.Forms and Microsoft Azure.
Penny has been a proactive contributor to the Microsoft space in the Philippines for the past 5 years. He recently placed 3rd in the overall APAC region as a Microsoft Influencer Hero on his attempt to contribute on Channel9 as a speaker.
Penny has been recently working on enterprise systems and applications for a large multi-national bank as well as doing innovation activities on top. He specializes on Mobile Development, Web Development, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Automated Testing and Agile-Scrum to name a few.
Penny is a proud Thomasian B.S. Information Technology graduate from University of Santo Tomas. In his spare time, he mentors students and enjoys a good glass of wine.
Giovanni "Vanni" Torelli, CEO and Founder of Gluon will present Windows IoT on Raspberry Pi.
All the way from United Kingdom and Italy, Vanni is a software practitioner with more than 15 years of experience building enterprise applications. He spent the past 8 years specialising in high-performance, distributed, scalable platforms that deliver business value to the financial services industry.
He has consulted and worked for Barclays, Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas, Nomura, BGC Partners (Cantor Fitzgerald), Bluecrest Capital, and GAM Asset Management.
Vanni has a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Bari, and a Masters in Internet Computing from University College London.
In his spare time, he is a keen reader and likes swimming, trekking, and exercising. In a past life, not long ago, he was a music producer and a freelance technical writer.
