Description

Aaaaaaaaand weeeeee're BACK! Happy New Year everyone!

After a two month break the Philippine .NET Users Group (PHINUG) and Microsoft Philippines presents another installment of MSDN Sessions, a monthly series of weekday after-office hours talks for software development professionals and enthusiasts of Microsoft developer technologies.

For this month we'll have:

Jon Limjap, PHINUG Lead, Microsoft MVP for C# and Technical Specialist at Provoke Solutions, will present on Automated Unit Testing WebAPI, where he will discuss about how to write automated tests for REST APIs which face the web at their front endpoint and access databases at their backend. On the way we'll talk about mocking, and nope that's not followed by a jay.

Allan Spartacus Mangune, Microsoft MVP for ASP.NET/IIS and CEO of Taughtworks Inc., will in turn be talking about Creating Service Applications in Azure. Cloud, mobile, media, and more? Azure has whatever service application you need, and Allan will be there to tell you all about it.

And finally, Warren Yu, Microsoft MVP for Application Lifecycle Management and Senior Manager at Accenture/Avanade, will talk about Application Lifecycle Management with Azure. Warren will go deep on how to manage and automate everything else beyond software development -- automated builds, automated tests, automated deployment, and other advanced software engineering practices, again using Microsoft Azure. Only thing lacking is automated software development...

The event will be held on January 29, 2014, Thursday, 6:30 PM, at the Visayas and Mindanao Rooms, Microsoft Philippines, 8th Floor, 6750 Ayala Ave., Makati. Food and drinks will be served at the event.

Please be early as seating will be on a first come first served no reservations basis.

See you there and looking forward to a productive 2015!
