October 2014 MSDN Session

Happy Halloween Hodgepodge! We're going to have a mix of tricks to kick off your tech treats for our October MSDN Session!

The Philippine .NET Users Group (PHINUG) and Microsoft Philippines presents another installment of MSDN Sessions, a monthly series of weekday after-office hours talks for software development professionals and enthusiasts of Microsoft developer technologies.

For this month we'll have:

Teril Bilog, MSP alumnus and web designer will spice up our night with her talk on Gamifying products. She'll be talking about how gamification encourages software use and positively alters the behavior of your users. She'll also touch on usability and design in the context of gamification.

Toto Gamboa, Microsoft MVP for SQL Server will present the second installment of his talk: SQL Server Memory Utilization Primer for Devs - Part 2, where he continues to demystify SQL Server's internal workings, performance, memory allocation, and a lot of other concepts we tend to ignore when we access a SQL Server database. If you didn't have a chance to query him about SQL Server performance last July -- this is your chance!

Jon Limjap, Microsoft MVP for C#, PHINUG President and Technical Specialist for Provoke, will be talking about C# 6.0, the newest evolution of the flagship language of the .NET Framework, and he's gonna demo it with the also up and coming Visual Studio 2014.

The event will be held on October 30, 2014, Thursday, 6:30 PM, at the Visayas and Mindanao Rooms, Microsoft Philippines, 8th Floor, 6750 Ayala Ave., Makati. Food and drinks will be served at the event.
